Having locked the gates of PSPCL office here, members of Kisan Sangharsh Committee Punjab today held the Chief Engineer (North), four Superintending Engineers and a staff of about 70 employees hostage for about three and a half hours this evening.
Even as the office was to close at 5 pm, the farmers blocked their exit gates and did not let the staff move out homewards. Only the women employees were let off. The farmers had been demanding that their meeting be fixed with the PSPCL CMD and the Chief Minister for hearing of their pending demands.
