NEW DELHI: Several projects, which were stalled after the model code of conduct came into effect two months ago, are likely to get a fresh push now that the elections are done. These include the purchase of 1,000 electric and low-floor buses each, notification of e-vehicle policy, execution of free WiFi scheme, beautification of 500km of roads and installation of CCTV cameras.
With assembly elections likely in February next year, the city government has eight months to showcase its work as AAP tries to emerge from the drubbing in the Lok Sabha election. Gopal Rai, who holds portfolios of employment, development, labour, general administration and irrigation in the AAP government, said that several projects and schemes that were delayed for nearly two months will now be put on the fast track.
