The campaign for energy conservation should not be limited to seminars. Through activities like debate competitions in schools and colleges, awareness on energy conservation should be raised among the youngsters. Traditional agricultural practices and systems for energy conservation should be preserved and encouraged. Stating this, the governor Baby Rani Maurya appealed to the people of Uttarakhand to use a cycle for commuting at least once in a week. The Governor was speaking as the chief guest at Saksham-2021 oil and gas conservation campaign organised by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) and oil companies at the Raj Bhawan auditorium here on Saturday.
