Electricity rates have been reduced due to a reduction in the Variable Cost Adjustment (VCA) in Chhattisgarh.
The Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Co said it will accordingly charge 43 paise per unit in the electricity bill of April-May.
It said in a statement that electricity rates have been reduced due to reduction in VCA for a second time in 2023. Earlier, the VCA for February-March was reduced from Rs 1.10 to 78 paise per unit.
Apart from it, the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission has not increased the electricity tariff this year. Now, with reduction, the VCA charge has been fixed at 43 paise per unit.
