Hyderabad: With temperatures rising from February itself, power consumption has gone up across the state, especially in Greater Hyderabad limits. The power demand has touched 2,900 MW this week in Greater Hyderabad and is likely to touch 3,800 MW in the next one month.
Telangana State Southern Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) officials said power demand in March first week last year was 2,600 MW. On Monday, the demand soared to 2,910 MW. The state has been registering over power demand of 14,000 MW every day for the past one month to meet agriculture, domestic and industrial power requirements.
