nElectricity consumers of Chhattisgarh will have to pay variable cost adjustment (VCA) charge of 13 paise per unit for next two months due to increase in cost of coal and oil.
The charge has been fixed as per provision of Electricity Act section 62(4) and rules and directives of Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC).
According to Power Companies Chairman Shailendra Shukla all the electricity consumers across the country pay the VCA time to time and it also fluctuates. In Chhattisgarh, the new VCA charge will be implemented from June 30, 2019.
