KOLKATA: A meeting was held between officials of Eastern Railway and Bangladesh Railways at Fairlie Place in Kolkata on Monday in connection with the transfer of 20 broad gauge diesel locomotives from India to Bangladesh on a grant basis.
Indian Railways has been relentlessly trying to equip and embolden Bangladesh Railway with state-of-the-art rolling stocks as a part of continuous endeavour towards modernization of neighbouring Railway, since its very inception.
Arun Arora, general manager, Eastern Railway, Jaideep Gupta, additional general manager, principal heads of departments and divisional railway managers of Howrah and Sealdah participated in this meeting.
