CHENNAI: The Chennai police have banned flying of drones and other unmanned aerial objects from September 15 to 17 as the National Security Guard (NSG) is conducting a mock exercise simulating various terrorist attacks and responses.
This mock exercise called GANDIV-V involves attack on high value targets (HVTs) simultaneously and bomb blasts at three places one by one.
The other stakeholders including Greater Chennai Police, Tamil Nadu Commando
Force, fire and rescue services, Greater Chennai Corporation, revenue department and medical department will coordinate and exercise their role as per the standard operating procedures.
