The condition of roads in Phagwara city remains a cause for concern. Certain roads such as Phagwara-Hadiabad road, Phagwara-Banga road, Phagwara-Jandiala Manjki road, Old Railway road, Phagwara-Palahai road, Phagwara—Rawalpindi road and even service roads in the city are a nightmare for commuters.
Residents allege neither the Municipal Corporation nor the PWD Department seems interested in getting some work done on potholed and worn-out roads in the city, despite the fact that thousands of devotees visit Gurdwara Sukhchain Sahib and Shri Vishawkarma Temple, Dera Murad Shah, Nakodar, and Lal Badshah Shrine, Nakodar. Devotees are being forced to reach Nakodar via Jalandhar or Jamshed route after travelling around 20 km extra.
