Domestic passengers in India crossed the 10 million mark after a gap of 20 month mainly on the back of increase in demand for leisure and visiting friends and family travel, as the number of infections decline.
During the month of November, airlines carried 10.5 million passengers as compared to 6.4 million carried during the same month last year. Domestic passenger numbers had last crossed 10 million in February last year, when airlines had flown 12.3 million passengers.
