The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been awarded a 10-year contract by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) for maintaining and operating the underground Line-3 of the Mumbai Metro.
The metro line – which will be 33.5 km long with 27 stations – is currently under construction and is expected to be operational by the end of this year. According to a statement by the DMRC, the civic body is expected to manage the operation control centre, the depot control centre, and the stations, along with maintaining the trains and the metro systems infrastructure.
