NEW DELHI: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to monitor the vibration caused by trains at 90 locations on all metro lines.
Though these sites are yet to be identified, officials said that in underground sections vibration levels have been monitored for the past several years to ensure that it remains within permissible limits.
“As a proactive measure to ensure safety and enhance the efficiency of the DMRC infrastructure, Delhi Metro has invited a tender to measure vibrations at 90 locations across the network. This work will be completed within one year after the award of the tender and the 90 locations will be finalised in due course as per internal assessments,” said a DMRC official.
