CHENNAI: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that prices of LPG cylinders would be slashed by ₹200 per unit, BJP leaders in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday questioned DMK for not implementing its electoral promise of providing 100 subsidy per LPG cylinder.
BJP state president K Annamalai, on Twitter, recalled the electoral promise and said the DMK is silent on the issue of providing subsidy. “It has been 27 months since DMK assumed power but they are least bothered on implementing their electoral promise no 503 in which they promised Rs 100 as LPG subsidy. We want to remind them about their promise now,” Annamalai tweeted.
