In view of space crunch in congested areas, power giant BSES has inducted first-of-its-kind 400 kVA pillar mounted, compact substation to a robust power distribution network in the national capital.
Delhi’s power demand has touched to 7323 MW in 2021compared to 7400 MW in 2019 and 2789 MW in 2002. “Discoms are often facing challenges in network augmentation, primarily on account of non availability of sufficient space for installing and laying new power infrastructure. It affects discoms’ ability to meet the increasing power demand as the existing distribution infrastructure gets over-loaded,” sources in power distribution companies said.
