MUMBAI: Go First, which suspended flight operations about a fortnight ago, has not been releasing pilots who have put in their resignations, said the Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP), seeking intervention, in a letter sent to the ministry of civil aviation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday.
The government should issue orders so that airlines “that are distressed…and not in a position to pay salaries” immediately release the pilots who tender their resignations, urged the letter sent by the pilots’ body.
The FIP alleged that Go First has resorted to coercive action against pilots who have resigned by not issuing ‘no-objection certificates’, experience certificate, ‘no-dues’ certificate – documents needed to join another airline, that is.
