Residents of Bishember Nagar here have decried dilapidated roads in the area. A delegation from the area said that the roads in the area are dotted with potholes. “This hampers smooth pedestrian and vehicular movement,” they said.
“It is ironical that such an important link road connecting Munwarabad with Baba Dharam Dass Road has been left unattended. The area houses several hotels and offices and is thronged by visitors,” said Ghulam Mohiuddin Khan, the President of Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
“Dilapidated roads give bad impression to visitors besides causing inconvenience to locals. I make a fervent appeal to Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and Chief Engineer R&B department to look into the matter and direct the concerned officials to undertake immediate repairs on the roads in the area,” he said.
