World’s oldest refinery in operation, Digboi refinery will see capacity addition. Union minister of Petroleum and natural gas, Hardeep Puri said that Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has already initiated action for expansion of its Digboi Refinery from 0.65 Million Metric Tonne Per Annum (MMTPA) to 1.0 MMTPA.
Replying to Assam chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Puri stated please refer to your letter of 23 September 2021 addressed to the Prime Minister of India, regarding capacity expansion of Digboi Refinery, Assam.
