The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has launched a drive to recover dues from consumers who are enjoying power supply without clearing their pending bills that have swelled to Rs 292 crore in the Faridabad circle.
Department sources claim that teams of officials have been set up that will initiate the process to make the defaulters pay their bills by July end. The campaign to recover pending bills includes making phone calls to defaulters or visiting their premises. “If the consumers fail to clear their dues or part of it in the allotted time, the department will disconnect power supply to them and remove the meters from their premises,” said an official.
