The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Country’s Civil Aviation regulator has set up a three member team to carry out ‘fact finding’ probe into IndiGo Airlines barring a specially-abled child from boarding a flight at Birsa Munda International Airport on Saturday as the child was allegedly in a ‘state of panic’.
Sources said that the DGCA team will visit Ranchi and Hyderabad (the place of stay of the concerned family) and will find out details about the incident in a week. Meanwhile, airline operator IndiGo has termed the incident as unfortunate and has issued an apology along with an offer to buy the specially abled teen an electric wheelchair.
