MUMBAI: India’s aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday said that it is concerned with recent incidents of aircraft overshooting, hard landing and skidding, a day after it issued safety directions to airlines in the wake of multiple incidents of planes overshooting runways while operating amidst bad weather conditions.
“We have also instructed heads of flight safety of the airlines to include in their safety briefing to pilots an express instruction to refrain from landing with un-stabilized approach while experiencing adverse weather conditions and initiate a go-around,” the DGCA said in a statement on Wednesday.
