In a shocking incident, a Glasgow-based fashion designer with ties to Kolkata has alleged that Vistara Airlines left his wheelchair-bound, blind, and elderly mother alone on an empty plane upon landing at Kolkata airport from Delhi. The designer had specifically opted for an assisted travel plan for his mother, which entailed continuous support throughout her journey. As per a TOI report, the shocking incident happened on August 31.
The elderly woman reportedly called for assistance upon realizing that aircraft cleaners had entered the plane for cleaning purposes. Thankfully, the cleaners alerted airline officials, who then escorted her off the plane at Kolkata airport.
