NEW DELHI: Delhi Traffic Police has said in an advisory that commuters must avoid certain areas of central and east Delhi for Muharram Tazia processions on Friday and Saturday.
A procession will be organised on Friday around 9pm from Chhatta Shahzad, Kalan Mahal, that will cross Kamra Bangash, Chitli Qabar, Churi Walan, Matia Mahal, Jama Masjid, Chawri Bazar and Hauz Qazi. The procession will return the same way.
Another procession will be taken out from the Old Police Chowki and pass through Ashok Basti, Qutub Road, Khari Baoli, Lal Kuan, Hauz Qazi, Chawri Bazar to Jama Masjid. The Tazias from Nizamuddin, Okhla and Mehrauli will go to the Karbala graveyard in Jor Bagh.
