NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro on August 28 recorded the highest number of daily passenger journeys ever, with 68.16 lakh people using the service.
This is the first time that the Delhi Metro has crossed the 65 lakh mark since the Covid-19 pandemic began in 2020.
The previous record was set on February 10, 2020, when 66.18 lakh people used the metro.
The high number of passengers on August 28 is attributed to the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival, which is celebrated on August 31.
