NEW DELHI: Over 130 metro pillars on the Airport Express Line, which falls on the route of G20 delegates, are being beautified with creative artwork. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will also revamp the Supreme Court (Pragati Maidan) metro station, from where delegates are expected to pass. The G20 summit will be held in the capital in September this year.
According to DMRC officials, the metro pillars that are being painted begin in the Ridge area and move along the national highway and end near Delhi Aerocity, which is an underground station. It includes 23 pillars of the foot overbridge connecting Dhaula Kuan to Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus.
“We have identified those metro pillars on the Airport Express Line where we expect G20 delegates to pass.
