NEW DELHI: Come Diwali, Signature Bridge — Delhi’s latest attraction — may glow at night, offering a spectacular view to visitors and nearby residents alike. Delhi government has decided to illuminate the entire structure. The 154-metre-tall pylon of the bridge is twice the height of Qutub Minar, but is not visible at night.
“The structure does not have permanent lighting. It draws visitors in hordes in the day, but people can’t enjoy the sight at night. A detailed project report will be prepared and submitted to the government for approval within two weeks. The bridge will be illuminated every night,” a senior official of Delhi Transport and Tourism Development Corporation, which will carry out the work, said.
