Infrastructure projects in the capital will receive the biggest outlay for capital expenditure as compared to the last eight years of the AAP government, sources said Thursday.
The Delhi government has prioritised health and education in every budget since it came to power in 2015. Last year, while the outlay for education was 23% of the total budget, it was around 15% for health.
Sources said the focus of the government is now on upgrading and beautifying the 1,400-km-long road network of the city. “Around Rs 20,000 crore over a period of 10 years will be spent on the entire project,” the official said.
