Delhi Airport was the ninth busiest airport in the world in 2022 beating Paris’ Charles De Gaulle airport, data from Airports Council International (ACI) showed.
The airport which clocked a footfall of 5,94,90,074 in 2022 is one position behind London’s Heathrow Airport, which handled over 61 million passengers. The airport climbed from its past rankings of 13th and 17th in 2021 and 2019 respectively.
