The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has moved the Delhi High Court seeking a review of an order passed by a single judge in a plea by Reliance Infrastructure-led Delhi Airport Metro Express Pvt Ltd (DAMEPL) seeking payment of unpaid dues by DMRC under a 2017 arbitral award.
The review plea is listed before a single judge bench of Yashwant Varma on Thursday who had also decided DAMEPL’s enforcement plea on March 17. The court had held that DMRC is an ‘alter ego’ of its two principal shareholders Centre and Delhi government who “cannot shirk from their liability” to abide by binding judgments and awards.
