The Darima Airport at Surguja in Chhattisgarh will operate on ‘uni-diversonal’ mode, which means the landing and take-off happen from different directions, an official press release said on Monday.
Due to the Madva mountain located at the northern side of the airport, the 72-seater planes will be operated on ‘uni-diversonal’ mode, it said.
Chhattisgarh Food and Civil Supplies Minister Amarjeet Bhagat, an MLA from Sitapur that is near Darima, inspected the airport on Monday.
He directed officials to soon finish all necessary works required for beginning flights from the airport. The Minister took a meeting of nodal officers at the airport terminal.
The Minister directed that ‘Thinthini Pathhar’ should be kept out of the boundaries of the airport as it is a place of archaeological importance.
