At least 16 people were injured in a fire incident that followed a gas cylinder blast at a four-storeyed building in Mumbai’s Lalbaug area on Sunday morning, officials said.
According to a fire personnel, four out of these sixteen people, including a minor, are in a critical condition as they sustained 70 to 95 per cent burn injuries.
The blaze erupted around 7.20 am on the second floor of Sarabhai building in Ganesh Galli locality, he said.
“There was a cylinder blast after gas leakage. The wall of a room collapsed after the blast,” Kishori Pednekar, the Mayor of Mumbai, told PTI.
