NEW DELHI: Air Customs at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport have registered three separate cases of smuggling after 6,522 grams of gold concealed by five passengers were seized.
Officials said the value of the seized gold is Rs 3.4 crore and further investigation is underway.
According to officials, these passengers were intercepted when they were approaching the exit gate of the international arrival hall.
“The five passengers had concealed gold in their clothes and rectum. The gold has been seized under the Customs Act,” said an official.
