Indian refiners processed 21.9 million metric tonnes (MMT) of crude oil in July, a 2.2 per cent increase compared to the 21.42 MMT processed in July 2022, according to data released by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) on Tuesday. The refining throughput saw a sequential increase of 1.7 per cent from June.
Out of the total processed, government-owned oil public sector undertakings (PSUs) and joint ventures accounted for 14.7 MMT, while private refiners processed 7.2 MMT of crude oil.
