New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose 1.42 per cent to Rs 3,647 per barrel in futures trade Thursday as speculators raised their exposure amid positive trend in global markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in June contracts was up by Rs 51, or 1.42 per cent to, Rs 3,647 per barrel in a business turnover of 18,746 lots.
Analysts said, crude oil prices bounced back in tandem with a firm trend overseas.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude prices rose 2.62 per cent to USD 52.48, while Brent was up 2.92 per cent at USD 61.72 a barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange.
