A 40-year-old autorickshaw driver was injured after a crane fell on his vehicle at the under-construction Delhi-Saharanpur Highway, police said Sunday. The incident took place around 7.30 pm in Northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area.
Traffic was moving towards 4th Pushta Road when the crane accidentally fell on its side and crushed the auto, said police. It missed other vehicles on the road.
A senior police officer said, “Locals and police rushed to the spot. The auto driver, identified as Manoj (40), was found injured. He was taken to JPC Hospital for treatment. His condition is stable now. There is a simple abrasion on his left arm.”
