There has been a steep decline in domestic oil and gas production, and petroleum products output during April 2020 as Covid-19 lockdowns hit demand.
Refinery output (a measure of the total crude oil processed in the country) during April 2020 stood at 14.75 million tonne. This is 28.78 per cent lower than the refinery output during April 2019, an official statement said.
