Why are generators needed at construction sites?
Any construction activity requires electric power to run the various equipment and machinery used at sites where construction is taking place. These sites cannot avail grid supply as they are often in remote areas where grid supply does not reach or the grid is unable to supply the required power continuously. This is where the power generation industry comes into play by providing generators to supply the much needed electric power.
The demand for generators at construction sites is a function of the growth in the construction industry. A report on capital goods by Motilal Oswal underlined three major growth areas of construction activity comprising railways, metro rail and roads. All these require generators to supply power and this augurs well for the generator industry.
