BENGALURU: Challaghatta Metro station, the last point on the Mysuru Road side of the Purple Line, is all set to become operational next month. But commuters have a different thing on their wishlist: A skywalk.
“We want the authorities to first construct a skywalk across the busy Bengaluru-Mysuru highway before throwing open the Metro station for public use. Or else, many will end up risking their lives trying to cross the highway, where vehicles ply at very high speed,” said many potential users of Challaghatta Metro station when TOI visited the spot. Either Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) or the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is to take up the responsibility of constructing the skywalk.
