Dantwada Collector Deepak Soni and officials walked 6 kilometers on Sunday to take stock of the development of roads between Kirandul and Bacheli towns and other basic amenities in the two places in the Chhattisgarh district.
Kirandul and Bacheli are small hilly towns separated by 10 km. Both jointly make up the Bailadila hills where India’s largest public sector iron ore miner NMDC Ltd excavates about 70 percent of the total iron ore to feed the steel industry.
He instructed the officials to redress the public grievances immediately, a press release said.
Expressing his ire over the delay in the Gaurav Path being built in Bacheli town, he told the contractor to complete the road by April, the statement said.
