MUMBAI: The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will drop by Rs 2.50 per kg from February 1, giving much respite to over 3 lakh private car owners and those operating autos, taxis, buses and other vehicles on CNG across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The revised MRP, inclusive of all taxes of CNG, will be Rs 87/kg in and around Mumbai.
A senior official from Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) said, “In anticipation of increased allocation of domestically produced natural gas and reduction in MGL’s input gas cost, we are reducing the retail price of CNG at the pumps from Wednesday.”
