CHENNAI: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) officials visited Alstom Transport India’s facility at Sri City, around 75km from Chennai.
The French train manufacturer was awarded a Rs 946 crore contract to supply 26 three-car driverless trainsets for phase-2 project on November 17, 2022. These trains will be manufactured at their Sri City plant.
M A Siddique, managing director, CMRL, Rajesh Chaturvedi, director (system and operations), A R Rajendran, chief general manager, rolling stock along with other metrorail officials visited the plant and inspected the facilities available for the production of the new set of trains.
