Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday urged Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to announce three new National Highways (NH) in the state.
Baghel met Gadkari in Nagpur while returning to Raipur from Delhi. He extended Diwali greetings to the Minister and held discussions on different aspects of road related issues of Chhattisgarh.
Baghel thanked Gadkari for asphalting of the Bhopalpatnam-Taarlaguda route, construction of a flyover at Tatibandh Square in Raipur and upgrading the Patrapali-Katghora route.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister sought to sanction the `11,024.39 crore proposal of widening, upgrading and reconstructing the National Highway in the state.
