On the occasion of national energy conservation day, the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat presented project allotment letters to 11 entrepreneurs of Uttarkashi district under the CM solar self employment scheme on Monday. He also felicitated women self help group members who had completed training under LED Gram light scheme and presented certificates to Pradhans of energy efficient villages on the occasion. Rawat also announced a revolving fund of Rs 50,000 for women self help groups involved in making LED lights.
Speaking on the occasion, Rawat said that the next focus of the State government is to remove the burden of fodder and firewood from the heads of women. Stating that work is being done to achieve this, he also asked the officials concerned to prepare schemes for this purpose.
