In an effort to bolster India’s aerospace manufacturing and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) sector, Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel Jyotiraditya Scindia has urged leaders of major aerospace manufacturing companies to present a collaborative plan charting out the requirements they have from each department of the Government of India. This would facilitate the expansion of supply chains for aerospace manufacturing within the country.
Scindia also engaged in detailed discussions with MROs regarding their operational and taxation challenges during the Advisory Group meeting with Aerospace Manufacturers and MROs. He assured the firms that selected taxation and regulatory issues would be reconsidered, emphasizing collective efforts to enhance the financial viability of MROs.
