Former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah took to social media to express his anguish over bad road conditions in summer capital Srinagar.
“I cannot remember the last time I saw the roads in Srinagar in such a terrible condition. The road to the airport is worse than a lot of rural roads,” Omar tweeted.
Travel on the city roads highlight how the government has neglected to maintain condition of road network in the city. On an average a traveler has to negotiate potholes and dilapidated road condition after every 300 metres.
Even the main arterial links such as road connecting old city to SKIMS Soura is in mess. Dr. Ali Jan road too is filled with potholes. The condition of roads in uptown areas of Hyderpora, Rawalpora, Chanapora, Natipora is no different.
