Residents from several areas of the summer capital Srinagar on Thursday accused the authorities of failing to install street lighting system in their localities.
A group of residents from Barbarshah and adjoining areas said absence of the street lighting was causing inconvenience to people to move out during night hours.
Members of the business community from these areas also expressed their resentment against the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) for failing to install lighting system.
From SP College Road to Barbarshah Bridge, the residents said not a single street lighting system has been installed by the authorities concerned.
