In a bid to reduce carbon footprint, Coal India Ltd NSE 1.45 % (CIL) plans replacing it’s diesel run- heavy mining machinery with LNG- fired equipment and adding 1,500 electric vehicles to its fleet in the next five years.
The measures are part of CIL’s five-year plan of carbon offset in different fields of its operation.
