Coal India Ltd’s month-on-month production continues to rise to 36.21 million tonnes in August 2015 from 34.83 million tonnes in July 2015. In the five months period in this financial year from April to August 2015, it has achieved total production of 192.37 million tonnes which is 2 per cent short of target set of 196.73 million tonnes for these five months period. However, the production has grown by 9.4 per cent in these five months when compared with corresponding period of the previous financial year.
