From China has come a mammoth blow to the world in the beginning of the year, a new virus that is infecting and killing thousands of people worldwide, every day. The magnitude of this catastrophe is without a parallel in modern times. As on March 27, it had infected 528,025 people and killed 23,669. The list of first 40 countries (505,262 people or 96 pc), where the virus was first found in human beings. Another list of 40 top countries (23,471 killed or 99 pc) where highest number of deaths took place. Besides, lockdowns and restricted movements have adversely affected the economy of almost every country on earth.
Unfortunately, a repressive regime, is solely responsible for this pandemic. The Chinese government did not act swiftly on the inputs provided by the doctors at the hospital. Rather, they were harassed and reprimanded by seniors, and arrested by Police, on the ground that they were spreading rumours. Even after sometime, when the government knew the complete facts, it hid the emergence of new deadly virus from the world, putting everyone at high risk. No information was coming out even in the local media.
