The government has appointed REC Transmission Projects Ltd (RECTPCL) and PFC Consulting Ltd (PFCCL) as the nodal agencies for inviting bids for development of various inter-state transmission schemes in the country. Chinese companies or their subsidiaries are also participating in the bids invited by them (see table). During 2013-14, there was no participation from any Chinese company for the transmission projects.
