CHENNAI: Chennai Metro Rail ridership touched 63 lakh in November, which is nearly 150% more than the patronage registered in January when 25 lakh passengers used the metro trains for their daily commute. On an average, two lakh people travelled daily last month.
In a release, CMRL said nearly 2.5 lakh people travelled on November 7. After January, the patronage doubled in June when 53 lakh people used the metro trains.
